Hey Gang,

I have a ? 4 U...........................Has anyone here ever ordered anything from TigerGPS.com?

 

Did you order by phone, or online?

 

If so, what is/was your opinion(s) on their service? IE: billing, shipping, customer service, etc. I want the GOOD, BAD, & THE UGLY!!!!! :ph34r:

 

I spent an hour or so browsing their web-site yesterday, and they have some great prices listed for GPS units & accesories!!

Ordered online. I had a good experience involving an exchange. A question about their exchange policy was answered within a few hours by e-mail. They have a 60-day exchange period. All I did was put a note in the box explaining I wanted an exchange because the unit had a defect, and sent it back with a copy of the shipping receipt. TigerGPS reimburses up to something like $8.50 of the return shipping cost. They don't charge you shipping for the new replacement unit. If they have the best price on something (and sometimes they don't have the best price), I don't see a reason not to go with them.

Well Gang,

I was browsing the TigerGPS.com web-site the other day, they have some GREAT prices (IMO) but unfortunately for me, their shipping charges to my home in Nova Scotia, CANADA are way out of line!!! They list their minimum "international shipping" charges at $60.00 - $90.00. I thought this was a little excessive, so I sent them an email just to confirm the charges, here is the response they sent me:
