Nanooknorth Posted January 1, 2007 Share Posted January 1, 2007 Happy New Year ~ I'm very new to Geocaching (only found 4 out of 5 caches thus far). I was with another geocacher and used her GPS unit. I was given my own for Christmas (an eXplorist 200-Magellan) but have studied the instructions. I cannot figure out how to enter new POI's(Points of Interest.Waypoints). Can anyone lehp me? Also, I have seen many references to "muggles" ... are they people who disturb/steal caches? This has been an amazing adventure thus far ... I've met so many pleasant people on hikes through Massachusetts and Maine. I so look forward to continuing with this new hobby. Thanks for your input. +geognerd Posted January 2, 2007 Share Posted January 2, 2007 To enter POIs on the eX200, press the Mark button. Scroll down to the coordinates field and press Enter. Click up or down with the clickstick to change the value of each digit. Click left or right to move between digits. Press Enter when done editing the North coordinate. Use the same process to edit the West coordinate. When everything is edited to your satisfaction, scroll down to the bottom to select Save and press Enter. Muggles are those who are not cachers. They may or may not destroy caches. The term comes from Harry Potter. Quote Link to comment
