+Tequila
I have written a cartridge that works fine in the Emulator. When I publish it to the CO and try to start it, the screen on the CO fades to white and the unit powers off. I have done a Hard Reset on the CO to no avail. The log file contains the following message: Sat May 24 18:30:21 2008 INFO [Engine]: Logging level changed from 2 to 3 Attached is the published .gwc file and the .lua file, both in .zip format. +Tequila
I think I found the problem. When the cartridge is started, I display a message to the player. That message is either too long or contains something the CO player does not like. By reducing the size of the message, the CO does not die and the cartridge at least starts. Have to go to the field to go further. Is there a limit to the size of a message that can be displayed? If so, how do I display two messages with a pause in between to allow the player to read the message. Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox
how do I display two messages with a pause in between to allow the player to read the message. You show a series of dialog boxes to the player. That's an option in the builder (instead of the option of showing a message to the player). Quote Link to comment

I remember doing that in the tutorial now that you have reminded me. Quote Link to comment
