I bought a new Colorado 400t and downloaded and installed the Garmin Communicator Plugin. I verified it on the Garmin site and everything according to Garmin is correct. However, the Groundspeak site says it is unable to load the plug in. I tried on both Firefox and Internet Explorer. Same results. Any ideas? Link to comment

+tkmp explorers Posted August 3, 2008 Share Posted August 3, 2008 I sent an email to contact@geocaching.com about this. Within a few days, I heard back from a tech person who activated the free trial membership for us. The info she needed was the serial number on the Garmin device, and the username on our geocaching.com account. Everything works as it should now, I've done both a pocket query and a direct "send to gps". I don't know why the website page for activating the free trial didn't work, but sending an email got a quick and courteous response. Link to comment
+HamNet Posted August 5, 2008 Share Posted August 5, 2008 (edited) Same problem here with a Colorado 300, plugin does not load (IE and FireFox) IF you are LOGGED IN. The plugin does load when you are NOT logged in ! It's of no use when you are not logged in, but perhaps this will help to fix the problem. +jengilroy Posted August 10, 2008 Share Posted August 10, 2008 I was glad that you had posted that you were having the same problem since I was starting to pull my hair out trying to figure out what the problem was! I have new Colorado 300 and tried on IE and Firefox also but neither will work. I also noticed that when I am not logged into geocaching.com the plugin loads perfectly but as soon as I log in, it no longer loads. Emailed contact@geocaching.com tonight and am waiting for reply.... Link to comment
