Donald&Daisy
A question to all my fellow cachers: On a recent trip to Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada, while hiking on one of their popular nature trails, I noticed a very peculiar looking log underneath a large rock (boulder would be more like it, by anyways...) As I got closer and examined it I relaized I was looking at a geopile and sure enough found a cache, without even knowing it was in the area. Pretty cool, eh? Now then, to my problem... I am certain the cache was a Geocaching.com cache due to a sticker I saw on it, but the cache does not appear to have been listed on Geocaching.com Any advise on what action I should take, if any? Thanks Donald&Daisy Quote Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama
Do you have the GC number? If so, you may be able to search for it with that. It's also possible that the cache has been archived or even retracted. Quote Link to comment
+Bear and Ragged
Final of a multi or unknown/puzzle cache? Did you sign the log? Or yet to be published. Edited July 12, 2010 by Bear and Ragged Quote Link to comment
knowschad
In addition to the other questions, were there other signatures on the log (you did sign the log, didn't you?) and what were the dates? Quote Link to comment
+Team MacKenzie
Can you give us the name of the trail that you were on. We might be able to do a little research and find the cache you were at since there's only a half dozen caches that are on trails. Quote Link to comment
Pup Patrol
You can do a search for the Algonquin Park caches by postal code. The postal code for the Park is K0J 2M0 Choose one of the caches, and go to the cache page. Then click on the Geocaching.com Google Maps link. Your trail was probably one of the ones on Highway 60. Sample cache: GC85D Algonquin On Foot Quote Link to comment
+Walts Hunting
Since he is not a premium member it is possible that it is a PMO cache. Quote Link to comment
Pup Patrol
From what I've seen, none of the Algonquin Park caches are PMO. Here's a list of the walking trails in Algonquin. http://www.algonquinpark.on.ca/mustrails/daytrails.html Quote Link to comment
