+the hermit crabs
On the contest rules page, it states that the contest photograph "cannot have been manipulated, for example but not limited to, brightness or hue or contrast adjusted, sharpened or cropped, enhanced, morphed, or retouched (in any manner whatsoever)". So I submitted one exactly as it came out of the camera, with no manipulation at all. But the GC website has a 600-pixel-wide limit, so it resized it automatically. Unfortunately, the automatic resizing produces some pretty choppy results; I could have gotten a clearer image doing the resizing myself before submitting it. Would that have broken the "no manipulation" rule? Quote Link to comment
+Team GPSaxophone
Host the picture somewhere else? Photobucket is one option. I'd say just resizing the picture shouldn't matter, some cameras are only capable of 640x480 anyway. Quote Link to comment
+AtlantaGal
Unless they changed the rules, I thought we could resize the image to their resolution. I thought I saw on the entry form last month where it was suggested to do this. If we were not allowed, then this would be a conflict in the rules, don't you think? Quote Link to comment
