HerbieSnerd
WebMaster, Carlsbad, California has 2 new zip codes in town. The "find a cache" feature using the zip code search does not recognize the new zip codes. Carlsbad was divided in half, north/south with 2 zip codes, 92008 & 92009. It is now divided in quads with the new zip codes 92010 & 92011 being added. HerbieSnerd Link to comment
+Markwell
This happens all the time in the US. Just happened in my hometown too (Plainfield, Illinois just went from 1 zipcode to 3). I presume the original zip code database was secured from the Census Bureau, but I'm not sure how often (if ever) it's updated at Geocaching.com. I would also presume that if they WERE to update the zip code database, it would not be in small increments like adding my two additional zips and your extra two. It would be much more beneficial to get an updated list of zip codes from the same original source and just update the database in one large swoop. Lather, Rinse, Repeat (every 5 years).
