I Need A Free Unzip Tool

I have been using winzip. I remember when it used to be free. well, it is starting to give me a nag screen when I use the evaluation version. I need a free unzip tool to unzip my pocket queries.

 

what do you suggest?

Windows XP has a built-in unzipping tool that works just fine for unzipping pocket queries. Why need anything else?

Get your pocket query zip sent to you. Drag and drop the zip onto GSAK. Easy.

didn't know GSAK will unzip when you drop it in, I will have to try that.

You can actually drop the zip on the desktop GSAK icon and it will unzip and load.

My favorite freeware zipper/unzipper is a little gem called IZArc. Handles a couple dozen formats, works beautifully, simple and elegant interface.

 

If you want a command line tool, go for InfoZip.

Yes, you can just drag the zip file to:

 

1. The GSAK icon on the Desktop

2. The open GSAK application

3. The GSAK load dialog

 

All tree methods will work and process any GPX/LOC files found inside the zip file.

 

However, there are many web sites/programs/emails that use zip files so it is probably a good idea to also get a copy of one free tools already mentioned.

I use the "Get data via e-mail" feature in GSAK......no downloading, no unzipping, no dragging and dropping........the only thing I ever have to do with the PQ's now is delete them from my inbox.
