+Marky
I don't know exactly what "a Tom Tom" is. I have Tom Tom navigator on my PalmOS PDA. I use GSAK to put waypoints onto it, including parking coordinates, multi-cache stages, etc. As far as I know, there is know easy way to do so in the field. --Marky Quote Link to comment
+Cornix
I don't know exactly what "a Tom Tom" is. I think they are talking about this unit: TomTom GO 300. You can't enter coordinates directly, see this thread in the TomTomGo discussion forum, but as Marky said it should be possible to upload cache coordinates as POIs and navigate to them. +The Wombles
Hi Guys, We also use a TT300. You can download UK geocache waypoints as Points of Interest from geocacheuk http://stats.guk2.com/caches/download.php You then upload those waypoints to your TT, select those POI in the menu and away you go. Likewise a speed camera database is free from here http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/uksafetycameras.php Quote Link to comment

If by any chance you are already using GSAK for your primary hunting GPS, be aware that you can "Export" TomTom *.OV2 files with GSAK, and copy them directly over into your map folder on your TomTom. Be sure that you include both the gpx files you get from geocaching.com since the smaller file has the waypoints for parking, etc. These then show up as a custom POI on your TomTom. I put all of my PQ caches on my GO720 that way. Edited June 19, 2010 by ecanderson Quote Link to comment

I put all of my PQ caches on my GO720 that way. I am using a TomTom XL and have managed to export the .0V2 files to the map folder. However, I don't seem to see them on the map while following a route. Is this normal, or could I be doing something wrong? I'd like to be able to follow a route and see the caches while out so that I can cache on the fly. Thanks! Quote Link to comment

Don't forget that you have to separately enable each POI type for map viewing, including your custom POI. It will appear using the root filename of your *.OV2 file. Change Preferences Show POI on Map =select your custom POI name Quote Link to comment
