+blackjack65
As for virtual geocoins and travel bugs I'll just have to keep locking them and deleting the log entries. After a while they'll figure out that it is an abuse of the site features to do this. Just to clarify, this was not a suggested solution for virtual travel bugs and geocoins. That's another topic. Hi again Jeremy,I am taking the liberty to start that other topic you are refering to. When someone steels one of the Travel Bugs or GeoCoins we have paid for, and put on the road, are we not in our right to transform it into a virtual, so that anyone can enjoy them, as opposed to sending out our copy, and then having the thief play nag with us and the others who find the copy by virtually grabbing it all the time? Or do you suggest that you could supply the owner with a replacement Tracking Number of some sort, to stop such medling? Link to comment

No. You could, however, report the user so we can ban the account for abusing the features of the site. The idea of a Travel Bug is to physically move an object from cache to cache. If it is stolen or abused it does not mean that it can travel as a fake bug from cache to cache. That was never the point of Travel Bugs. HTH. Link to comment

Or rather, how long do you suggest we wait untill putting the copy out there? Thanks again, Edited November 30, 2005 by blackjack65 Link to comment
Jeremy
If you know of some oaf who is abusing the web site you can contact us about it as long as you have enough information that we can do something about it. If it just disappears it could be for one of many reasons - many of them mundane and potentially temporary. Link to comment
