I tried this at an event I held recently...

 

GeoTag

 

Rules: 1] Find someone attending today’s event who meets one of the statements below

that has not already been checked off. That person can’t have a star on their

nametag and can’t have arrived with you. That person is now ‘it’. Put

their caching name in the space, and check off the box, next to the statement

they meet and give the person you tagged all game materials.

2] If you are tagged ‘it’ put a star on your nametag and refer to rule #1. If you

cannot find a person to tag, or are leaving before doing so, see the event holder

(event holders name) for help.

Sounds like fun, might have to borrow it for an upcoming event! I love new fun ideas!

Not exactly like that, but I've seen a similar version. In the one I've seen before, everyone was given a sheet with similar options to the ones you've listed above. Everyone was encouraged to find someone to fill each of the boxes on the page. You weren't allowed to use the same person for more than one box, so you sometimes had to choose carefully what option you asked someone to sign off on. (Like if there were 3 people there who had over 500 finds, and one of them was the only person there to find a 5/5, you'd want that person to sign the 5/5, not the over 500 box)

I have been to numerous events where it was used and they gave away prizes for the most signatures.

we do a game our our event each year kinda of similar. except we ecourage every team to complete a sheet of similar questions

 

When they complete the sheet they can turn them in to get a prize drawing tickect to win prizes. This year we gave out a brand new garmin 60csx GPS as the grand prize. So everyone did what ever they could to get an extra prize ticket

This game is a really fun way to make people meet new people at events.

Thanks for the input everyone. I have seen and participated in some of the types of things mentioned (including a bingo one). I guess the only twist I've added is the 'tag' concept. It's not as conducive to giving out prizes as the other variations, more of a strictly 'get people to mingle' thing. Altho I did give a geocoin to the person who was 'it' last.

We do something similar and it certainly gets people to mingle, gets really really loud too! Lots of fun to sit back and watch.
