Profile page text increase

So I see that the text amount has been increased to 150000, but when I try to put in 35K I get an error that it can't be over 5000.

Maybe it does, maybe it don't. I can't get to the edit page, when I go to http://www.geocaching.com/my/ I get

Too bad the update lost all the changes to my profile since about 11 Aug.

I discovered that the Forum Signature text box returns an error if the number of characters exceeds 73 (of the 600 allowed). Here's the error:

 

Cannot create a row of size 8062 which is greater than the allowable maximum of 8060. The statement has been terminated.

How many characters are allowed for the TB page? Is it only 1000?

It's 5000. Quite a bit, but if you are using a lot of html, it gets eaten up pretty quick.
