+MissJenn
I'd personally love a "Texas orange" color. Some call it burnt orange. Nice visibility for both PR and safety purposes, but not as ugly as the "safety orange" you see in construction sites. Quote Link to comment
+welch
I was thinking have signal with a broom and dust pan... a bit spring cleanish, but self explaintory to any muggles that see people wearing a shirt IMO. (or does noone wear the shirts outside CITO day? ) In maybe a yellow or light/neon green would both visable and hopefully not as Hot as a dark color? My clipart monster mockup... +1NatureMom
I personally prefer the WHITE shirts .. as it is a cooler color & shows ticks more visable. Is that orange already confirmed? Quote Link to comment
+MissJenn
Is that orange already confirmed? It's just my personal preference. As an annual buyer of these shirts, I have enough of the white and off-white versions. Quote Link to comment
+SgtSue
Not orange, anything but orange, orange it a deal breaker. Like Signal with the broom and dust pan, it's cute. How about choice of more than one color? But please no orange Edited January 12, 2007 by SgtSue Quote Link to comment
+MissJenn
I still quite like orange and I think there are others out there who agree with me. They're just afraid to speak up I also like this color: Quote Link to comment
+MissJenn
How about a closeup of Signal holding the Earth? Something of a combination of the ideas here and here and here. No octopus, though. Edited January 12, 2007 by MissJenn Quote Link to comment
+stepshep
If it has signal on it you have a buyer. I like the idea of Signal "cleaning the earth". Will post a link when I find what I mean. Found the pic http://www.geocaching.com/goodies/2005-04/1600.jpg Edited January 12, 2007 by stepshep Quote Link to comment

Plus, I wore that color as a guide for Camp Jeep in 2005 and it was not too hot in the late Summer sun in the Poconos of NEPA and was a good background for the score of ticks I found over the weekend crawling on me. Plus, it is visible without being day-glo. Just my $0.02. White t-shirts might as well be wear and dispose, IMHO. Quote Link to comment
Team Misguided
Is that orange already confirmed? It's just my personal preference. As an annual buyer of these shirts, I have enough of the white and off-white versions. Another option, but it may be more expensive. I love the dirt shirt look. Quote Link to comment
+mudsneaker
Dirt shirts are sweet. I loved the one I picked up while in Hawaii. But just know that they fade out alot somewhat fast. Quote Link to comment
+kokopop1
Hey everyone- thank YOU for throwing your ideas!! ( it's going to be the 4th CITO Tshirt that I am going to create, I am runing out of ideas ) CITO can be messy event, so I think dark color Tshirt (black, dark brown etc) would be nice... As for Signal pose, I love to hear more of your opinions! Feel Free to throw them here- again, domo arigato!! Quote Link to comment
+SgtSue
I like the idea of the one posted earlier of Signal cleaning the earth. Seems right to me. Quote Link to comment
+olbluesguy
Hey MIss Jennn, this is the best I could do with Myah's crayons. OBG Quote Link to comment

+MissJenn
I think this process might be helped by thinking of Signal with a greater personality: What hobbies does Signal like, besides geocaching? Where does Signal vacation? What does Signal drive? What cool animated characters would Signal hang out with? etc. i.e. WWSD: What would Signal do? Quote Link to comment
+wavector
What hobbies does Signal like, besides geocaching? There are other hobbies? No seriously, are there? Where does Signal vacation? In Canada the area of greatest cache density is probably Victoria. In the United States Signal would probably be using vacation time to go to Geowoodstock or the GeocoinFest. What does Signal drive? Signal has three jeeps, one is white, one is green and Signal's favourite jeep is yellow. The yellow jeep is broken though so Signal currently drives the green one and it helps Signal to blend in. Nothing red though, red and green don't blend well, did that remind you of a joke? What cool animated characters would Signal hang out with? Signal and Smokey fit well together but most other animated characters don't seem to jive, maybe Signal and Oscar? I really like the orange colour you posted Jenn, that is a very nice colour and would be very cool for a shirt. Personally I like the idea of reprising the high point of any CITO right on the shirt, the pile of trash collected with the geocachers standing nearby. So that will be my suggestion, a nice orange shirt with a big pile of garbage, lots of geocachers and maybe a hidden frog. (like a hidden Mickey) Quote Link to comment
+MrCOgeo
"Cache up with the Quest to Clean Up" Maybe Signal (with a "Indiana Jones" hat/fedora even?) holding the earth which is all sparkly and faceted like a gem, at arms length admiring his work to keep it all clean, with is other hand folded behind his back holding a rag. "Cache your Lily Pad Clean" Signal on a lily pad (the earth superimposed on the pad) with a recycling bin. (Kind of the think local, act globally thing...) Just throwing ideas out, I like ideas... (And koko is my hero! ;-P ) Edited: Added my "sketch" Edited January 18, 2007 by MrCOgeo Quote Link to comment
+nooks
Is it a one-style thing? I don't wear men's shirts, am I out of luck? Cheers, nooks Quote Link to comment
+The Blind Acorn
I vote for the Texas Orange if we are voting...the focus shirt is cool, but the color isn't my favorite. Something in a faded color like the dirt shirt would be cool as well. Quote Link to comment
+geoduck.5
I like Texas Orange and the picture of Signal cleaning the earth (apr05). I would buy a few shirts like that. Quote Link to comment
+MissJenn
Is it a one-style thing? Not sure.I do know that the store carries some babydoll shirts, not necessarily CITO design. Quote Link to comment

avroair
I'd personally love a "Texas orange" color. Some call it burnt orange Surrre... agree with MissJenn... I usually only wear burnt-orange "Life is Good" shirts to geoevents, maybe the colors would give good visibility. Anythink with signal or the earth on it would be good. Quote Link to comment

Nice visibility for both PR and safety purposes, but not as ugly as the "safety orange" you see in construction sites. In case my avatar doesn't speak enough, PUHHLEEEEEEEZE no burnt orange shirt. I can assure you that NO ONE in my household would purchase a shirt that color...even though you might sell millions in my fair city. I like the forest greens, greys, or whites, personally. Of course for me, I don't mind a nice solid black shirt (that whole hotter thing is just a state of mind). Lots of great designs coming out...just no burnt orange. Quote Link to comment
+Team GPSaxophone
Any word yet on pricing? Bulk order pricing? Quote Link to comment
+The Blind Acorn
Please don't get black shirts.... As an owner of a white dog, I hate black clothes as a rule because they become black with white fur!! I like Signal drivng the truck... very cute. Quote Link to comment
+nittany dave
Any word yet on pricing? Bulk order pricing? I'd like to know that too. Also, is there an expected date they will be available for purchase? We've got to order a bunch and distribute out to local groups that will be hosting CITOs around our state so the more lead time the better. Quote Link to comment
+peanutbutterbreadandjam
Hi Miss Jenn Has there been any more progress on the shirts yet? I want to place a bulk order from my local supplier, but it would be handy to know if there will be ladies and mens styles, as well as what the final design will be, and pricing. Thanks very much Miles/.. Quote Link to comment
Bryan
Here is the new CITO 07 Shirt Design. They will be available for sale by next weekend at Shop Groundspeak and soon after that at many of the Groundspeak Merchandise Distributors. We are planning to sell them for approximately US$7.00 or possibly less than US$7.00, depending on final production costs. They will be available in Adult (unisex) and Children's sizes. Front: Back: We really hope you like them. Quote Link to comment

+The Stainless Steel Rat
Edit, didnt see the design above till now, clearly tie dye would not work, though it might help to hide the ugly advertising, not too big a fan on that. Edited March 8, 2007 by Raygar Quote Link to comment

+Raine
the "weird green" will help hide all the dirt and mud you're covered in when you "accidentally" slip and fall in a puddle when you walk by me on CITO day Love ya Spoon! Quote Link to comment

I actually like the color, it's very "Earthy" and is much better than the plain white tees that usually get used. Quote Link to comment
