+fox-and-the-hound
That's right, my AE's just arrived on the doorstep and I couldn't be happier! Now's your chance to get one for yourself. If you've already Tempted the Fates and picked up one of these coins you've probably noticed the odd writing on either side of the face. InstantCoffee picked up on it first, but to my amazement no one has asked except for him what it said so...... First person who figures it out gets their very own Golden Fate! But wait, that's right, there's more! There's a little (or maybe not so little) "Easter Egg" hiding in this design, too. One that only Moun10Girl and Fox know about so far (even the boys at the store never noticed ). Figure it out and you could win this... So put on your thinking caps and do a little research. Maybe you'll win both! Edited February 22, 2007 by fox-and-the-hound Quote Link to comment
+Droo
On my silver coin only 3 of the 4 shields are painted. The one on the lower left is painted black not orange/red. Or I should say it's left unpainted. But that doesn't answer the larger question, does it? <scratch, scratch> Edited February 22, 2007 by Droo Quote Link to comment

+islander1988
Well, it looks like the writing on your coin is Elvish Tengwar, but it doesn't look like it's phonetic writing of English words, so I'm guessing it's actually in Elvish. And Elvish translation is beyond me. Quote Link to comment
+islander1988
If it is elvish, perhaps the translation is a variation on part of "One ring to rule them all?" Or One Coin perhaps? Quote Link to comment
+fox-and-the-hound
The easter egg is right above the skull figure Sorry, not a literal easter egg. It's a signature mark on the coin that doesn't actually belong there as part of the design. Quote Link to comment

+C A Royal Flush
Upside down, the skull--without the bottom jaw--looks like a demon or joker sitting in a chair, long arms with spoon shaped hands, bowed legs. But I had to use my imagination. Quote Link to comment
+DresselDragons
Too slow...had it solved eccept for the final word. Somehow, I missed the "p" in peril and it kept coming out "eril" and I knew that was not right. Did not realize that the artwork was posted, so I'm sitting her using a hand lense to read the coin. Nothing like doing things the hard way! Quote Link to comment

+AtwellFamily
So it's not he bottom jaw that looks like 2 hands giving the bird and the thumbs out to the side? Pinkys together.... Ok I see all of you trying this at home Quote Link to comment
CinemaBoxers
Im going to say what I interpret to be the easter egg is part of the overall design, but what doesnt belong, is BELOW the skull. Reminds me of the deaths head moth - but, I dont think that was its intent. Quote Link to comment
+fox-and-the-hound
You're all looking in the right spot, but you're not "seeing" it yet. Think BIGGER Quote Link to comment
CinemaBoxers
I think it references the triangle symbol on your PC near the hound. JMO - but done in an artsy subtle way - I personally love the idea of the deaths head moth... if you didnt mean it, it worked out well for you. LOL Quote Link to comment

+DresselDragons
I see a butterfly...if I turn the coin upside down...those lines coming out of the jaw look like the antenna, the "acorn looks like the head, and the the black outlines make the wings. Quote Link to comment
