+chillmama
I've already created an account and have a few caches under my belt... SO.. does anyone know HOW I can change my username on my account without having to create a whole other account and therefore lose all my progress? I just want to make MY name into my "family's" name instead. THANKS! Edited May 2, 2007 by chillmama Quote Link to comment
+T F T C
Not possible, but since you only have a few finds it'll be easy to relog them. Quote Link to comment
+chillmama
I was afraid of that. Thanks for the info. Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
Start a new account and relog all your finds. Delete the old logs and note that you are re-logging under the new account. If you have any hides you can use the adoption page to transfer them over. The only way to do it now. Sorry. Quote Link to comment
+chillmama
I've "created" travel bugs that I havn't released yet. Do you know how I transfer those over? Quote Link to comment
+chillmama
WooHoo! It took me forever.. But I did it! Thanks for everyones help. Sheesh... I don't recomend that to anyone... I'd much rather be in the woods looking for cache than on this computer trying to figure this cache stuff out! Quote Link to comment
+Pasquale-n-Arthur
I want to change names too. ( I know the whole this will be your permanent name disclosure, I just didn't think I would get hooked at first). I get the whole re-logging thing, my big concern is switching my premium membership. How do I do that? Quote Link to comment
Keystone
From this post in the FAQ thread that's pinned at the top of this forum: If you need to transfer your premium membership, send an e-mail to contact@geocaching.com. I'd be sure to include your current premium membership name, as well as your new account name. Quote Link to comment
+Undo54
I needed to change usernames so I talk to one of the ladies at Groundspeak and told her of the reason I wanted to change my username. She agreed and told me to re-log my previous finds with my new user name and to send an e-mail to change my premium membership account. My question is do I need to go back to all the caches and signed the logs again with mine new username and then re-log them on each one of the caches pages. Or what is really meant by re-logging of all my found caches? I thought I would try here before I call back to Groundspeak to get a answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. +Miragee
You don't have to revisit the caches to sign the log again, you just need to log online with the new ID on the date you originally found the cache. In the new log, you could put a little note saying what you are doing just in case the cache owner ever reconciles the paper log with the online logs. Quote Link to comment
