It sounds like something different in the core .net system on that device. I'll look into it.

are there any news on the subject? i experience the same problems. the ppc says that Microsoft .NET CF 2.0 is installed.

Now working on mine as Microsoft .NET CF 2.0 wants to hog all of the memory.. My mate Wayhay has it running on his Mio 201 so there is hope.

I'll look at this. This is an icompatibility with one of the function calls being made on the system. I'll have to look at a workaround for it.

I just put a release up for the player that will deal with the GetDeviceId() error and allow for manual settings if auto detect fails.

the new one does the autodetect now for my device (MD96710). thanks, now i can give this a look.
