There's not long left to pre-order on of my new Camulodunum coins. I think it may be as soon as Thursday! So hurry and order yours now!

The coin's size is 1.75", it's available in antique bronze, antique silver and polished gold, and is trackable on geocaching.com. If enough sell, there will be an icon. The design is based on several ancient Celtic coins minted in Camulodunum (modern day Colchester, UK), around the time of the Roman invasion of Britain. It's meant as a tribute to the wonderful artistry of the Celtic people and their cultural legacy.

Thanks VW_keychain! I've been to the Uffington White Horse (actually I was on my honeymoon!) and I have to say, although I hadn't thought of it, there is a certain resemblance. I wonder if the horse was a common symbol of freedom throughout Iron Age Britain? I'll have to look into that a bit further!

Geotrowel, The horse was very important to Celtic peoples and may have had social, cultural and religious significance as well as being used as a working and fighting animal.

I'm looking forward to my coin arriving, do you know a date when they will be shipped yet?

Dave
