+Dgwphotos
I've gotten this error a lot myself, particularly at between 10 and 11 PM when trying to access the forums, though I got it this afternoon while trying to access threads in the NW section. It might be the result of too much forum traffic. Link to comment
+WRASTRO
It has been noted that the forums are down for maintenance daily at 11:00 pm pacific time and it takes 15-20 minutes. Don't know if this is the issue. trying to get this posted before they go down... Link to comment
+Dgwphotos
Ah, that might explain it at 11 pm, though it doesn't explain getting that message at 3 pm. Link to comment
+trainlove
The error message that I got about an hour ago was more like "The forums servers are down, please come back later" That tellls me exactly why there was a problem this afternoon. Link to comment
+Wintonian
I regualy get this message after about 22:00 GMT which would fit with 15:00 PST. Wandering what the reason is? Link to comment
polskikrol
Either servers are low on memory, there are too many threads, too many file handles, database is being msqldumped (ie backed up), or simply too many connections (over 60,000? doubtful all sourced ports have been exhausted). Are these servers being hardware load balanced (if there are more than one)? In short, working with L1-4/5 Networks these issues could be anything and take a while to resolve. Hopefully Groundspeak will figure it out Link to comment
