I always thought the standard "stash note" (now called "cache note") was a bit wordy. So I tightened it up a bit, and offer it up to anyone who wants to use it.

This is a good idea. Making the note ADD friendly will make it more effective for more than just the young folks.

Actually, I'm all for this. The current one is very long, and someone who stumbles on the cache by accident... I don't see it being that likely that they will spend the time reading a long sheet of small text.

Paste the rtf-text into notepad or something and save the file as plain text using rtf as extention. Then open the file in a word processing program that supports rtf.

Just kidding... I always shorten the note significantly when I print up new cache logs. On micros, the stashnote goes in a block at the very top of the logsheet.

A great idea and similar to what I've been doing for years before Twitter was even a glitter. I always found the original letter to be a bit wordy and it definitely didn't fit into most micros.

 

I have some cache notes that say nothing more than "for info contact www.geocaching.com" .
