Caching with a Premium Menber

I went on a trip today with a premium member and they chose the caches to find. So we find them and have a good time.

The "problem" is that now I can't log the find as I am not a premium member. :D

Any solution other than upgrading to a premium membership?

Yep, and it's a pretty easy solution. Call your buddy with the premium membership, have him pull up the page where he would write his found it log for that PMO cache. Then all he needs to do is right click on the pages URL that is in the top of the web browser and then E-Mail that to you. You make sure you're signed in to gc.com and then click on the link your buddy just sent you. Poof, you're taken to the page where you log your find for that cache and life it great again. My understanding is this is not a practice that gc.com frowns on and they say it's ok to do it. To me it makes no sense, but hey the big boys say it's ok so I guess it's ok. Good luck and happy caching!!!! :D

This is a back door that is fairly well known, albeit somewhat controversial. Some owners of members only caches will delete your log if you aren't a member and some don't care. You can use the back door to log your find and sit back and wait to see if it is deleted, or you can send an e-mail to the owner asking in advance if it's OK with him to do so.

If it was my cache I'd say go ahead and log it. You found it. Other cache owners might feel differently.

I just thought of another option which is wait until I get the premium membership and then backdate the find. :D

Then if the CO says anything about the backdate, explain the situation to them. Now I do know that the premium I was with mentioned all 3 of us in her log so there shouldn't be any problem backdating a find.
