+pklong
Somewhere else on the forums (can't remember where now) I read about putting Geocaches on my GPS as Garmin POI files. I've just had a play and it's so long for uploading them as waypoints for me! I export from GSAK as a Garmin POI file, see the image below: Pop this file on my memory card in the POI folder of the Garmin directory e.g. D:\Garmin\POI. Go to find, Custom POI and this is what I get: No 1000 waypoint limit, nice big POI name, lots of space for the hint, terrain, difficulty, size, container. Colour me impressed. So good it's worth loosing Geocaching mode for! Philip Edited June 23, 2009 by pklong Quote Link to comment

+pklong
And the clues for a multi are..? Same place they are if you store the cache as a Waypoint. Somewhere else nowhere to store them on an Etrex. Quote Link to comment
+Happy Humphrey
There's a nice GSAK macro that does this for you. I use it all the time, and most caches are findable with reference to anything else. It has the added advantage that it'll break down a hint if it's too long, and it also allows you to show an indication of recent finds. In fact you can also include the cache description if you like, although in my experience it then becomes a bit unwieldy. Quote Link to comment
