Skippermark Posted November 14, 2009 Share Posted November 14, 2009 Why doesn't the preview feature for PQs work when a long route was created using caches along a route? The caches preview fine if the route is short, but when trying to preview a long route that's close to 500 miles with close to 500 caches, the preview fails. This happens on both the text preview and the Google Maps preview. Link to comment
+beejay&esskay Posted November 15, 2009 Share Posted November 15, 2009 (edited) I think it's normally a resource issue. I have found Sundays to be the worst for getting route PQs. I just tested a 336 mile, 470 cache route PQ and it did work. If you PQ worked in the past, it will most likely work some time in the future when the hamster is not so busy. We're planning a trip and will need a couple 500 mile PQs to cover the route, and I created one but couldn't get it to preview. I don't think I've ever created a route longer than 150 miles before and figured it was having a tough time trying to sort through 500 miles of caches.
