I have an oregon 300 and have been saving my track logs, i have just opened up an account on openstreet.org but how do i transfer my tracks to the site? ok i have a lot of roads that are already logged, but mixed up with them is some good footpaths from when we been out caching that i would like to upload to help other cachers.

Just go to here: http://www.openstreetmap.org/traces

 

Then click "See just your traces, or upload a trace"

 

Then browse to your GPX file you want to upload, supply some detail and then click on "Upload"

 

Once you've been informed that the GPX has uploaded correctly, go back to the http://www.openstreetmap.org/traces link & then click "See just your traces, or upload a trace".

 

Then select the track you've just uploaded and click "Edit" this will take you into the edit map feature.

 

Once in there, just add the missing tracks.

many of my tracks might include 70%-90% of roads (which will be on the openstreet project) and the rest being the important paths that are missing.

 

How can i just add the important paths out of my tracks? sorry if i sound thick i just dont understand this bit (but no doubt be happy to teach people in a few months lol).

Try going to the OSM forums for more detailed help. There are help files with OSM regarding splitting tracks and just uploading the bits you want.
