+GeoTruckin
I just got a Nuvi 55O and cant quite get it figured out. I did a pocket query but I dont know how to get it to my gps. Can anyone help. I took the pocket query zip file, dragged and dropped into my garmin folder under gpx. I plugged in my garmin and there are no geocaches in the unit. Did I go about this completely wrong or am I on the right track. Thanks Quote Link to comment
+W7WT
I have the Nuvi 550 and use GSAK to put the caches on it. i have also dragged and dropped into the gpx folder. Then I had to unzip it on my computer and they were transferred. Dick Quote Link to comment
+gnjeepn
You don't have to use gsak. Download the PQ zip file. Then unzip it. Plug in your Nuvi 550 go to my computer select the drive your nuvi is on. Select garmin then select gpx files then copy the unzipped file to the gpx files folder on your nuvi. I do it all the time and have no problems. It's one of the nice things about the nuvi 550 & 500. They are geocaching friendly and don't require any special program or software to down load files. +GeoTruckin
Thank you! It worked and it is very easy. I just had to unzip it. Now one more question, how do you delete them out of the gps. Do I go into my gpx folder and delete that file when Im done? Quote Link to comment
