+hydnsek
I've received many inquiries about this year's Going APE...All Over Again event, and want everyone to know it's a GO. The event page has been updated with all the details - check it out! WSGA is hosting the event 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Sunday, Aug. 21, at the Hyak parking area in Iron Horse State Park in the beeyootiful Cascade Mountains. As you know, the original APE cache was stolen in June and archived, so you will no longer get the special icon. But the experience should be as cool as ever: the Cascade Mountains, the spooky hike through the 2.3-mile Tunnel of Light (just reopened after three years), the 2nd-oldest cache in Washington (Iron Horse), and a new APE tribute cache. Plus, we hear the Snoqualmie Tunnel will be the first new Challenge virtual, and you can be among the first to log it. And we hear that Sasquatch and Fen Dweller have been sighted in the area – so watch out! I'm still looking for volunteers for the event, so PM/email me if you can help - thanks!
