+WattsThat
I picked up a geocoin that wants to go to Australia (I'm in the US, and it came here from the Netherlands) I could do my best to move it Westward to another cache, OR I could slip it in the mail to my Australian friend who can pass it onto a geocacher he knows. However, that ALMOST feels like cheating. What do y'all think? Edited November 22, 2015 by WattsThat Quote Link to comment

Best to ask first. Quote Link to comment
Pup Patrol
I picked up a geocoin that wants to go to Australia (I'm in the US, and it came here from the Netherlands) I could do my best to move it Westward to another cache, OR I could slip it in the mail to my Australian friend who can pass it onto a geocacher he knows. However, that ALMOST feels like cheating. What do y'all think? It's a very bad idea. Absolutely not a good thing to pass it onto a non-geocacher. Post offices have a tendency to lose things. Is that what the trackable owner wanted? It's already taken some major leaps across the ocean. If one was to take the trackable on a trip to the intended country, that would be fine. Keeping in mind how airlines also like to lose belongings of travellers. There's no need to feel that you have to complete its mission. Help Center → Trackables → Moving Trackables http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=334 3.7. Mailing Trackables to Another Geocacher There may be occasions when you want to mail a Trackable to a geocacher in another location. Please do not mail any trackable without asking the owner first. Mail services to some places are erratic and/or unreliable. Typically, Trackables should travel from geocache to geocache, or directly from the hands of one geocacher to another. If you have received a Trackable in the mail, you will want to post a "grab it" logtype rather than "retrieve it" logtype, since you're not retrieving it directly from a geocache. The mileage traveled will show the next time you drop it in a geocache. B. Edited November 22, 2015 by Pup Patrol Quote Link to comment
+WattsThat
That's what I thought. Thanks! I'll move it a bit closer and pass it on. Quote Link to comment
+hzoi
For trackables like this, I try to find a safe cache near an international airport. Odds are better that this will get them closer to the goal than just some other cache. If you search for stargate caches, those can be helpful as well. Quote Link to comment
