+frinklabs
The history of changes to the difficulty or terrain of a cache may or may not be logged on a cache listing in a way not visible to users. To preserve the history and transparency of changes to a cache listing, altering the D or T could be altered to be a log type, like when you change the coordinates. Quote Link to comment
+cerberus1
Why? This seems to be a real issue for some. "History and transparency"? Thank goodness for Goretex. If one of the many side-games had as much importance as being able to find the cache when you change the coordinates, sure. I think of this as a non-issue, thanks. This is the hobby. The caches belong to COs. Please, if you participate in a side-game of this hobby, adjust yourself to fit. Quote Link to comment

I feel no need for this feature, but I still see that the request is entirely reasonable within the official game of geocaching independently of challenge caches. The fact is that when I found the cache, it had a particular rating, and it makes perfect sense that the rating at that time be something that people could look at since that's the rating that matters, not the new rating after the conditions at GZ changed. The fact that some challenge caches use ratings is beside the point even though it is, admittedly, the motivation for people asking for this feature.
