I'm getting so anxious to change my vote to Magellan Meridian Gold, but the last info I have on it is that the shipment of Meridians is still stuck in customs (expected to be out close to the 25th or so). eek.gif

Add another MeriGold as of last night, but don't take my MAP 330 off, since it's going to continue its geocaching career (and hopefully get me more neocachers in the process). icon_smile.gif

Have had it for about about a month - still on the learning curve, but it seems all I need at this stage.

Want to expand into combining the mapping capabilities of a software package (yet to be determined) with uploaded routes, tracks and waypoints - that's next.

Also, I just have to say that this is a great forum, with truly helpful answers to my semi-stupid beginner questions.

Thanks guys and girls.

Hmm. Well, my first GPS was a Magellan 315. Unfortunately, it got to me slightly broken--the alarms didn't work. I spoke with CS at Thales Navigation, and they immediately offered to replace it, no questions asked. I asked about upgrading in the process. So, I'm heading over to UPS now, but will soon have a Magellan 330 in my hot little hands. icon_smile.gif

The opinions are my own, but for the low price of just $19.95, they can be yours too!

eTrex Legend...

it works reasonably well here in central Illinois where there really is no such thing as HEAVY tree cover, but, with relatives in Colorado and Oregon, I'm considering buying another one with a real antenna.

Etrex Legend.

Had it for a few months.

Works well under forest cover here in north central British Columbia.

I finally know where some of the roads into logged areas go using the recorded track with my Mac (trying both GPSy and MacGPSPro).
