Guest LarsThorwald
We call ours the "Alethiometer," from the Philip Pullman series of books called HIS DARK MATERIALS. An Alethiometer is a compass that points to the truth - from the Greek words for "truth" and "measure." Anybody else? Or is it just me? Charlie Quote Link to comment

I read the first one of the series and had forgotten about the little device she uses. But doesn't it only work for caches covered in Dust? Ever since my girlfriend got an eTrex Legend I call my plain eTrex "the short bus" when we take it caching since it's yellow and just a little slower than average. Quote Link to comment
