davwil Posted September 14, 2003 Share Posted September 14, 2003 I Just cleaned out all the waypoints in my Etrex Yellow and downloaded the closest 150 caches from the GPX file I got through pocket queries. When I checked the page there were 154 waypoints.(??) The extra points were GRMNPHX, GARMIN, GRMEUR and GRMTWN. Looks like they're in Phoenix, Kansas, London, and Taiwan. Question is... were these entered by some hard-code in the Etrex yellow or did they come from Groundspeak? Maybe there is a Garmin prize if I do the four caches? Their website says they have head offices in Kansas, UK and Taiwan. I kept mine because I thought it was neat to have a waypoint so far from my house. Quote Link to comment

(hope.. hope) Signed Curious All Garmins come with those four waypoints pre-installed as examples. Really helped when I was trying to figure out how to route on my GPSV. They deleted just like normal waypoints.
