peter
Have you tried running the Updater program again to reload the firmware? First I'd get a new copy of the firmware from Garmin's site just in case the copy you have is corrupted. If that doesn't work I'd place a call to Garmin's tollfree number tomorrow - I've found phone calls to work better than email with their tech support. Quote Link to comment
jdfarmer
thanks...i just reloaded the software from the "UPDATER". i guess there was a glitch or something i did while loading the update. Quote Link to comment
gessner17
Just for anyones info, don't load any updates or maps with an unpowered USB hub. I have gotten errors every time, along with the "software missing" I reloaded it without using the hub and it worked fine. I also get erros loading maps...including database errors and having my unit freeze during loading sequence. Never had one error with the stupid hub. Just FYI. Quote Link to comment
Neo_Geo
I use a USB hub (4 ports - all in use) and never have any problems with any devices attached including my GPSr. It could be a faulty hub, or maybe a version conflict. Do you maybe have a version 1.1 hub in a 2.0 USB port...? Not sure if that'd cause errors or just slow things down, but something to consider. Quote Link to comment
+geobernd
I don't think it's a generic USB hub problem either... I run everything through Hubs - and they are 1.1 Hubs on 2.0 ports. I updated the 60CS firmware twice with no trouble... Quote Link to comment
gessner17
Its probably because my wife didn't plug it in, so its being run unpowered. Quote Link to comment
