Get ahold of some of your local cachers, they will probably have some tremendous insight for you as you get into the game (you can email the hider of one of your finds by clicking on his/her profile). There may very well be a local club/association in your area. I've been to a couple events here in Minnesota sponsored by the MNGCA, and everyone I've met has been extremely friendly and helpful with every question I've had, no matter how foolish!
