Downloading Cache Info/garmin Gpsmap 60c

Brand new to this and getting ready to buy a GPS. We're highly considering the Garmin GPSMAP 60c. But, we're confused about downloading everything. We know this unit will download the waypoints, but will it also download hints and info about the specific cache? Or will we still need a PDA for that part of it?

Thanks for all your help!

It will dowload the waypoints and if you use GPX files, the cache name and owner. Some people have used Geocaching Swiss Army Knife to add the terrain, difficulty and cache size, but you aren't going to get the entire cache page into the 60C (or any unit for that matter).

If that's what you're looking for, you're going to have to go with a PDA, or the old fashioned method of printing the pages.

I know the 60C has an area for hints (notes), but not sure if the GPX file you download to it will have that info in it.

More info here...

The GPX file has all the info, including the entire cache page text and a few logs. The note field in the 60C is only 32 characters however.

Is this: "It will dowload the waypoints and if you use GPX files, the cache name and owner.", different than what you get with a .loc file? When I look at my .loc down loads into easygps I can see each of these entities.
