Stony2008
I was talking with my friend the other day and we were woundering. Whats the biggest or smallest cache container anyone has ever hidden? Edited March 1, 2005 by Stony2008 Quote Link to comment

+The Leprechauns
For conventional containers, the Project APE caches are pretty big! Quote Link to comment
+Jamie Z
Wow, Little Lep sure has grown up since the last time I saw her. Jamie Quote Link to comment
+WeightMan
Sorry there is not pic available, but the largest cache I have found is When you get there. It is a large rubbermaid container. I didn't measure it, but I think it is probably a ten gallon container. The top is held down by 8 or 10 bricks. Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
I seem to remember someone posting on here about a travel trailer being the cache container. Anyone else remember that post from the past couple of months? Quote Link to comment

Stony2008
so how do you fill it up or don't you. I mean theres no way you can get enough little trinkets to fill it up for trade. or is there Quote Link to comment
magellan315
you have to be kidding. Nope, he is not kidding. Check out Juliett 484 MC Its a members only cache. Could someone paste the text form the page? Quote Link to comment
+Pasha
I'll leave that to the owner, but basically you have to find the whole submarine. I wish I lived on the other coast so I could try it myself. When I first saw the picture, I thought it was the Foxtrot that's currently residing on Seattle's waterfront (this site is from its previous residence in Long Beach.) Quote Link to comment
+Wreck Diver
magellan315, I'll send the text of the cache page to you via e-mail so as to avoid wasting the space on the discussion. I'm expecting the first group of cachers at the location tomorrow morning, so once the FTF is made, I'll remove the Member-only restriction. Quote Link to comment
Stony2008
Can you send it to me too? Quote Link to comment

+Jamie Z
Shouldn't that cache be listed as a virtual? nm. I read more of the cache page. Jamie Edited March 19, 2005 by Jamie Z Quote Link to comment
+Wreck Diver
Can you send it to me too? Stony2008, a dozen cachers were at the site this morning before they even opened, so a number of them have already logged the successful find. I've removed the Member-only restriction so you can now access the Juliett 484 cache page. Quote Link to comment
Shoobie & the Sand Crabs
I want to make a 55 gallon container cache and place it in the middle of a busy park. seriously Quote Link to comment

+flask
it's confusing. i keep trying to read the text as if it would be pronounced the way it's written, which is just NOT a useful approach. Quote Link to comment
+Nerves
Wreck Diver's Russian sub cache is one of the best cache hunts I've done. It was clever, historically informative and well done. It's definitely worth a trip! Quote Link to comment

+VegasCacheHounds
Wow, that looks like a great cache! And the swag is good too. Wait, the shed is the container, right? And all of the ammo boxes are trade items, correct? Quote Link to comment
+John NW
The largest cache I have ever been in, is this one Travel Bug Hotel It is a detatched house - with hot running tea and coffee Quote Link to comment

+Team Benhamtroll
Here are a few I have to put out. {Shed full of ammo boxes} Yikes. I hope you don't have that open when any muggles could see in. You might expect a visit from Homeland Security . . . Quote Link to comment
+2 Cotas
Hey guys... the author says: bigger and smaller.... For the smallest, check this out: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...55-1ae08e8a31b5 There are some photos af the original content, (long gone...) byenow Quote Link to comment
+BMSquared
Even smaller cache located at Heaven Hell or Hoboken . The cache is about the size of a pencil eraser. No photos on the page because they might give away the hiding spot. Metro New York and New Jersey cachers should check it out and verify this might be the smallest cache. Quote Link to comment
+nfa
Does the log book keep dry inside the sub...is it as watertight as an ammo-can, or a lock n' lock? Quote Link to comment
+GoonyGooGoo
I have just checked over the various threads that CacheNCarry linked to, and I haven't found a reference yet to the biggest one that I've seen on geocaching.com. I haven't found it in person yet, but again, it's the biggest one I've seen on the website. It's called "Shigiggles" (for your keyword search), or try this url: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...85-ce28922dbaf0 -mig Quote Link to comment
+Chance Encounter
I've long harbored secret plans to put a spiffy camo paint job on one of these babies before plopping it down in the middle of the woods: Not something for your local National Forest, obviously, but if you could find a private landowner with a sense of humor it would work. Think of the cache description: Bring whatever trade items you'd like: lawnmowers, motorcycles, sofas, golf clubs, compact cars, etc. Quote Link to comment
+Sparrowhawk
I remember reading about a lasering machine that etched in VERY tiny letters on diamond or hard metal. So the ultimate nano-cache would be a container about a millimeter accross containing maybe a nano fleck of gold or two (i.e. the ultimate untradable trade item). To sign the log, you could use the machine to etch on the lid of the thing, typing it in and watching your progress on the monitor. I sure don't know how one would open a cache like that. +grandkid 38
If you are in Arkansas there is a real pirates chest in Burns park. This is a toy box made to look like the real thing . Its 18-36in. , contains stuffed animals, nemo toys, pirates telescopes ,compasses, toys and more toys ,gold coins , altogether over 300 items. Its' blubeards pirate cache ' , with easy access , all designed for kids. We buy the itmes from a Rhode Island toy company and keep this one well stocked. If you are traveling with kids , going through LRock , this is a 30 minute must stop....the time to get off and back on I40 after finding the cache. Quote Link to comment
