+Starglider
There are some caches that are more "vulnerable" to spoiler logs than others. As a cache owner I would love to have the option to delay watchlist notification e-mails by say 24 hours. Why? Because that would give the owner the opportunity to check logs for spoilers BEFORE they are sent to every person that has the cache on his/her watchlist. Comments? Link to comment
+planetrobert
i rarely watch a cache i haven't found so spoilers are cool to me. also if i am watching one i havent found it is in hopes of getting spoiler info on a cache that has stumped me. personally i think that idea stinks. Link to comment
+HoPri
It happend to me as well: spoiler on one of my caches came through before I could do something about it. Well, at least it only affects those who watch a cache. That would not have happened if the mail sending were delayed, that's true. On the other hand, the/my main reason for watching a cache is to keep informed about what's going on. I'm not sure I'd like it delayed for whatever reason. Rather I'd accept the occasional spoiler once in a while. Link to comment

Althoug the e-mail notifications would be delayed the online logs on the html pages would still be up-to-date. So if you plan to visit a cache you could still get the latest info. What if the delay would only be applied to found logs? That's where you find most spoilers. @ralann: I think it's great that you don't like the idea. That shows me it would serve its purpose Link to comment
CoyoteRed
As I mentioned in another post, I'd rather see a mechanism you can enable that allows you to "moderate" the logs. The notification could still go out just without the log text. The logs would show up on the cache page, but again, just without the log text or any pictures. Not all caches need this. Just the ones the puzzles and surprises. I'm sure some folks would turn it on for caches that don't need it and never approve the text for display, but that would be fine with me. It would say something about the owner and folks would probably be less inclined to hunt that cache. Link to comment
Jeremy
We're overhauling our log notification code in anticipation of the premium member-only new cache notification feature. This is where you are notified whenever a new listing is published to the site in your area. When we do this we'll have the ability to work out ideas like digests, which I suppose would meet this request (unless the log was posted minutes before the digest email). However this will not be a feature that will exist at the launching of the new feature. Link to comment
