holiday type game?

So I know I'm somewhat new here and most ideas aren't going to be all that new or anything, but figured I'd throw it out there and see if it's been done or if there is any interest.

Anyways, most forums I'm part of do a secret santa type deal each year. Someone is in charge of gathering names and addresses and then you have a certain date, yadda yadda. I'm sure most of you have seen this or been a part of one.
I was thinking it would be kind of cool for us to do it here in the northwest forums. Except instead of mailing it, we hide it somewhere within a reasonable distance to their home coords. We could keep it simple to a coin or two or something in the $10-$20 range. Maybe a cache container with everything ready to go to hide a new cache or just a couple ammo cans or a bunch of swag, etc.
Obviously it would require a little work on whoever wanted to be in charge or keeping it all straight(distances from each other and what they might want). But it could be as simple as stating how far you're willing to travel to hide a gift, retrieve a gift and whatever else when signing up.

I dunno, just thought I might throw it out there. If we get started this month on getting everyone game who wants to be involved, have the gifts placed by a certain date, think we could do it by the end of the year. We could also think of some clever name so it isn't a "christmas" game or anything.

Thoughts?

washignton state geocoins?!?

I'm new to the game and geocoin have caught my eye. Being a record collector I was drawn to geocoins rather quickly. With geocoins, I'm not quite after the rare versions or complete collections(yet), but I am into the idea of having at least one of every one ever made, lol. Being so new, I continue to see new Washington state based coins every day. Here are a few, if anyone has any more to add to this list, I'd love to keep a somewhat legit history/accounts of coins hailing from this lovely state. Minting history and numbers would be awesome too, just for the sake of having it all in one place. Even if you don't have pictures, I'd be happy to hear about them.
I'm obviously on the hunt for many of these coins, but I can't afford to drop a ton of money right now, though I wish I could because I'm not sure how often this stuff comes up via eBay or the forums. But yeah, any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Dustin

http://sites.google.com/site/washingtoncoins/geocoins

We will be cruising with a group to Alaska on July 4th, our ports will be Juneau on the 6th, Skagway on the 7th and Ketchican on the 9th. I am hoping we can hook up with local cachers who would be willing to host events at these ports so we can attend and meet locals...and maybe even hook up for a few cache hunts? Anyone interested in helping out?

Of course, the events should all be simple M&G type events with no expenses, just a gathering for conversation and friendship. As well, anyone willing to place a few new caches at any of the ports, this would be GREAT!

Please post here or contact me directly through my profile, hoping we can get something set up!!
