+4America
We'll Never Forget 9/11 #1 (Just published!) GCY804 About 5 years ago, we placed our first Geocache (Patriotic Pride GC20BE) not to far from here. It was placed after the events of 9/11/2001. Five years later, the cache is still there and we still have not forgotten those that died in the 9/11 event or those that fight or work to protect our freedom every day, 24/7/365. This includes the Armed Forces, Local and National Public Safety workers and everyone that supports them. This cache is labeled #1, and I would hope we could get at least one in every State. If you would like to place a similar memorial cache, please contact me and I’ll maintain a list supply you with the next number available. I am working on custom graphics for the cache, and approved caches will be able to use the graphic on the cache website. Visit our forums: Kansasgeocaching.com 4America We’ll never forget! ---Wow, 13 in less than a day! Don't worry if your State is listed, there is no limit of one per state. I'd also like them outside the USA. Requirements are very simple, it needs to be a new cache, and needs to follow the standard name of "We'll Never Forget 9/11 #" This allows the caches to be searched under a common name, and reference the other caches in the series. We'll supply a website that you can link to for that informatin. If you need help setting up the HTML for the page, we are happy to help. Thanks for your support!! Pyro37976
@4America: I would recommend having a set description of the 9/11 cache series on every cache page along with the cache description. Also instead of a table to show all the caches just have a link on every cache page to a list of all the other caches. Take a look at the Cache Across America Caches for some ideas... http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...d5-5f27404fde7a . These are just suggestions I thought would make the 9/11 caches better, choose to ignore them if you want. Quote Link to comment
