+Pi&A
Is there a way to show icons for "other" GCs during navigation on the Montana 600? We would like to see an icon for other GCs during navigation (regardless if we are geocaching or not) Seems that i can only search for caches from the list (showing nearby caches) and frequently seem to have passed by other caches when working on a multi. Would/could be fun to pick up other caches during a multi... :-) Quote Link to comment
+Walts Hunting
The Montana will only show caches that you have loaded. If you haven't done that you can't see them. As to only picking from a list that is correct. The list shows all caches on your device. I always have all cashes in the area loaded and see them all when I am routed to one. Quote Link to comment
+JohnCNA
Both my eTrex 30 and GPSMAP 64s show all loaded geocaches on the map while navigating or not. One thing to check is the zoom setting for geocaches in the map setup screen. On the 64s, the factory default setting for geocaches required zooming in quite a bit before they would show on the map. I changed this to Auto and now geocaches show at all zoom levels. Perhaps the Montana was set up the same way. Quote Link to comment
+Pi&A
Solved :-) Zooming level was set to 8 meters, so only when zoomed in to a level of 8 meters would show user waypoints. Changing the setting to 200 meters results in all GCs showing on the map when zoomed in to less than 200 meters, zooming above 200 meters hides the GCs. Changing to "Auto" seems to show them all the time (have to test that during some navigation). Super tip, thnx thnx thnx :-) Quote Link to comment
