+maaacus
Hi! I just received my new GPSMAP 64st. When trying to import generated geocaches (PQ) to my device they turn out as waypoints instead of geocaches, without any cache-information at all. I've tried importing through GSAK, icaching, manually to GARMIN/GPX and with Garmin Basecamp, with the same problem using all methods. Anyone having the same issue, or have any idea how to solve this? / maaacus Quote Link to comment
+Gitchee-Gummee
This sounds as though the 64st unit already has .loc (non-Premium Member) files within the unit. Could it be that you upgraded your membership after trying out the unit with a few caches? If the unit has .loc files as well as .gpx files within the unit, ALL will display as .loc (waypoint) files. You need to rid the unit of any and all .loc files in order for the .gpx files to function properly. Once cleared, new loadings of .gpx files should function as expected. Quote Link to comment

I upgraded to premium member a few weeks ago so thats probably not the issue. I've also searched my device for .LOC files when connected to my computer yesterday, but I could't find any of those files. I'll make a new search when arriving home, but I don't think there will be any .LOC files on the device. Any more advices? Quote Link to comment
+Red90
Delete all GPX files from the device. Restart the unit. Delete all waypoints. Connect the GPS to a computer. Copy the GPX files from a PQ to the Garmin/GPX folder on the GPS and restart the unit. See what happens. Quote Link to comment

Now it seems to be working with icaching on my mac, hopefully for a while. Thank you guys for helping out! / maaacus Quote Link to comment
