+1H0ltek7
Couldn't find this searching the forums so starting this topic. I would like to change the ownership of a geocache that I placed in an older username to my current one ...is there anyway I can keep the location of the cache but have it so that it shows my new username and deletes the old one? Can Groundspeak do this for me? Quote Link to comment

+1H0ltek7
thank you, I believe the transfer of ownership was done correctly but it still shows at the top of the cache page "A cache by " and lists the old username...is there anyway that the new username can replace the original name to the new one even after the ownership change post in the cache log is done successfully? Keystone
The new owner can place the adopted cache listing into edit mode and update that "Placed by" field to whatever they want. Many people acknowledge the original owner by saying "[Original owner name], adopted by [new owner name]" in that field. The "placed by" field is editable separately from the actual account owner name. It doesn't update automatically when an adoption of the listing occurs. Quote Link to comment

At least that changes automatically when ownership is transferred. Quote Link to comment
