The remote name can not be resolved: 'api.local.yahoo.com. Any suggestions? I wanted to do something fun for Americans in Germany. Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox Posted October 20, 2014 Share Posted October 20, 2014 Groundspeak's builder is so old that the APIs it was using to look up addresses and show maps will not work anymore. I was able to fix the Google Maps issue in the emulator, but I'd need the source code to fix the rest of the builder. I'd suggest bringing up Google Maps in your browser. When you click a spot, it will show you the coordinates just below the top-left search box. You can set the builder to accept these coordinates by using the coordinate format "DD.DDDDDD" in the builder's preferences. If you do stay with Groundspeak's builder, please remember to implement these two fixes. If you'd like to use a map to create a fun Wherigo cartridge in a full-featured builder application, I'd suggest using Urwigo. Quote Link to comment
