+BAMBOOZLE
What is the best way to charge an iPhone in the field.....maybe an ebay link would be good. Quote Link to comment
+Red90
What do you mean "in the field"? In a car? Hiking? How many charges and how long away from a power source? If we are talking hiking or such, a separate battery pack is the easiest. Size as needed for the amount of charges you want. There are 1000s of choices and they are available everywhere. If you need more charges or time, then a solar charger. Again, lots of choices. In a car, any USB adapter that can do 1.0 Amps, with 2.1 A better. Quote Link to comment

+L0ne.R
I use a SoundLogic Rechargeable Power Bank. It's inexpensive and does a decent job at powering up my iPhone quickly. Faster than charging it via the car. Quote Link to comment
+Panther&Pine
I've got a small fold up solar panel designed for backpacking that I've been known to hang in the car window while driving. I think it's meant to be attached to your backpack... It is a 5W folding solar charger, I can PM you the link if you want. Quote Link to comment
+Mineral2
Why not just take your GPS instead? Quote Link to comment
+Chrysalides
What is the best way to charge an iPhone in the field.....maybe an ebay link would be good. Bring your own cable. Should have enough power to last a few days. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N2T7U90 Yesterday there was a promo code for $10 off (final price $30). There was one last week as well. So look around. If you want one with a built-in lightning cable, I have a Tenergy ARC5200. Quote Link to comment
jimlarkey
I've used this system to charge my iPhone, as well as SEND device on BP'ing trips. Very weight & $$$ efficient. Quote Link to comment
Colorado Bear
I like the Morphie for my iPhone Quote Link to comment
+luvvinbird
I also use a Mophie but it's heavy and clunky...but built like a tank! I saw a Duracell 3-pack of portable chargers (2200mAH) at our local Costco (Canada) for $36.00. They look like they might work. Edited November 13, 2014 by luvvinbird Quote Link to comment
+BAMBOOZLE
Why not just take your GPS instead? I occasionally play a different game which uses the phone and take long walks around town. Quote Link to comment
