Question

My daughter and I have been Geocachers for years; not a huge number of finds, but it's something we do together and have had some great adventures. We recenty started Earthcaching and have found it to be even more fun and enjoyable than Geocaching. Don't get me wrong, we still Geocache.

Anyway, the question: Is there a map feature that we can use to find Earthcaches near us? If there is, I'm not finding it. Help me out?

The listing of Earthcaches by State on the website is somewhat tedious at best. A better search method would be a real bonus.

There is a map, which will filter caches. (If not visible, there's a box on the left that slides out, look for the > and click on it) Based on you hidden cache.

As a Premium Member you can set up a Pocket Query to find Earthcaches.

Set it up and dont select a day to run, you can preview it on a map.

From any cache page there are the options

Find...

...other caches hidden or found by this user

...nearby caches of this type, that I haven't found

...all nearby caches, that I haven't found

...all nearby waymarks on Waymarking.com

...all nearby benchmarks

From an earthcache page click ...nearby caches of this type, or that I haven't found

Try out the Advanced Search:

https://www.geocaching.com/play/search

Here's all Earthcaches within 30 miles of the last Earthcache you found:

https://www.geocaching.com/play/search/@39.63878,-87.05383?origin=GC3TP1D&radius=30mi&types=137&f=2&o=2&e=1

Pocket Queries would be another good option:

https://www.geocaching.com/pocket/gcquery.aspx

Once a pocket query is set up, you can quickly view in on a map.
