+fooleish
I'm using a badgebar from project-gc.com and a custom profile from mygeocachingprofile.com in the 'bio' space of my public profile, but now the user profile doesn't allow me to click through to either of those webpages. Worked fine before today. Edited December 1, 2015 by fooleish Quote Link to comment
cezanne
I'm using a badgebar from project-gc.com and a custom profile from mygeocachingprofile.com in the 'bio' space of my public profile, but now the user profile doesn't allow me to click through to either of those webpages. Worked fine before today. My links to cache pages still work fine, but apart from that a lot in my profile page has been screwed up and also the picture does not show up there any longer. Annoying change once again. Those who used extensions to include the number of DNFs and cache hides also need to start over once again. Quote Link to comment
cezanne
Note added: I might be mistaken, but in the morning the links to cache pages on my profile still worked but now no new tab is opened but the cache page is opened within the profile framework which does not work properly and provides an absurd result. I could not find any notification about these changes. It also took me some effort to change the font size, the table widths and the picture size to get the picture I have in my profile displayed again. It's quite unfortunate that one cannot link any longer to cache pages from one's profile. As there is no co-ownership of caches on gc.com I used the profile to list caches I have co-hidden. +niraD
Something in the JavaScript seems to be breaking it. If I open an offsite link in a new tab, then the link opens fine. But if I open an offsite link in the same tab, then my profile page is garbled. The URL remains the same, and the browser history remains the same, so it looks like the link became a no-op. But everything below the "Profile Information" heading is gone. Quote Link to comment
+kunarion
The page is causing links to be opened in a "frame", the profile page itself, if they open at all. It's very broken. Quote Link to comment
cezanne
The page is causing links to be opened in a "frame", the profile page itself, if they open at all. It's very broken. They apparently use a sandbox now and block everything outside of gc.com (even project-gc.com). It seems like everything happened intentionally. Maybe one could open up a new tab by using javascript - I have not yet tried this. In any case very inconvenient. Quote Link to comment
+Viajero Perdido
Links are working in my profile [EDIT: only when opened in a new tab, as noted above), BUT... text size is all messed up suddenly. Starting today, I've also noticed that when the profile page first loads, it tries to stuff all the content into an inch-high little rectangle with a scroll bar. Then it expands. This is probably related. Groundspeak, please don't break things. Edited December 1, 2015 by Viajero Perdido Quote Link to comment
+mihcaoj
I noticed this morning the same problem. The text had become bigger and bolder. Everything's messed up. I've put a lot of work on my profile. I hope they can change it back soon! Quote Link to comment
+fooleish
Seems to be working now. Thanks Groundspeak for fixing whatever the problem was. Quote Link to comment
+fooleish
Not working again. Same problem and symptoms as before. Quote Link to comment
Pup Patrol
Release Notes - December 1, 2015 http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=336202 We've made some backend updates to the Geocaching Profile to increase security on Geocaching.com. These changes will be invisible to most players; however, those who have added customization may want to update their profiles. Some older browsers may not benefit from these changes. If you are visiting from one of these browsers, you will be notified by a banner on the website. B. Quote Link to comment
