+Nuttmegg9
Sorry for what is probably a stupid question. I've been caching for a few years but just took the plunge and bought a GPS device. What is frustrating me is that I cannot seem to figure out how to view a custom list of caches. My GPS came preloaded with a ton of caches, but I'm looking to only pull up a select few in each area that I'm traveling in during an upcoming trip. I downloaded the GPX files for the caches I'm interested in looking for into BaseCamp and then exported this folder to my GPS unit. I can easily find the parking waypoints for these caches but have yet to discover how I can specifically pull up the caches themselves. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Quote Link to comment

Make sure you are using the .gpx version of the file and not the wpts.gpx file which would have parking waypoints, etc. Quote Link to comment
+Mineral2
you're looking for a geocache, not a waypoint. Make sure you're on the geocaching page in your GPS. Check that your filters aren't set in such a way that no geocaches will show up. When all else fails, try switching to the geocaching profile on your 64. Quote Link to comment
+Penguin_be
Don't forget that the pre-loaded caches came from www.opencaching.com (owned by Garmin) they might differ, and are much less in quantity than the once on geocaching.com If you want to use the geocaching.com caches you either have to use firefox and the garmin plugin to download directly to your gps, or use GSAK to get a bunch of caches near a location or route. You can then export them to gpx and import them in basecamp, or directly to the gps. Quote Link to comment

My friend has a 64s and the pre-loaded caches were most definitely never on Opencaching.com. I think they were always Groundspeak listings, but since opencaching.com was shut down, they are most definitley geocaching.com caches. Quote Link to comment
