Hi all..

Can someone advise where this button is because i can not see it.

Thanks.

I'm going to assume that you want to upload an image to your "found it" log on a cache.

If you've already logged the cache online, you would need to go to your log, and click on "Upload Image" at the bottom right corner of the log itself.

edit: I don't think my assumption is correct, as you already have numerous images in your Gallery, so you understand how to do that already.

Help Center → Finding a Geocache → Logging a Geocache

4.3. How do I add a photo to my log?

http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=544

You can upload photos from Geocaching.com and from the Geocaching app.

From the log entry page on Geocaching.com:

Post a log as you normally would and click "Submit Log Entry"

On the next page, click the "Upload Image" button in the top right corner

Select the image you wish to upload

After you've already submitted your log on Geocaching.com:

Find your log on the cache page

Click "Upload an image for this log"

Select the image you wish to upload

To attach a photo to your log from the Geocaching app:

From the cache page, tap "Post a Log/Field Note"

Select your log type and enter your message

Tap "Attach a Photo"

Select your photo and tap "Save"

Enter any additional details to your log, then click "Save & Send Log"

Adding a graphic requires the use of proper HTML commands.

Click on the "upload images" button in the Navigation box at the top right of the geocache page.

Navigate to your photo directory on your hard drive, and identify the correct picture. Give your photo a name (e.g. "View from West End Overlook") and upload it.

The photo now appears on the geocache page as a little camera icon with a hyperlink on its name. Look for it just below the maps and just above the logs:

You're trying to add an image to a cache page? Is it an existing cache page or are you trying to add an image in the new cache submission form?

Because what you've posted is part of what is in the Help Center article:

http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=59

3.3. Display an Image in a Geocache Description

To display an image in your geocache page, you can upload an image right to your geocache page, or you can hyperlink to an image hosted elsewhere on the internet — but not on your own computer.

Let's use this geocache as a fine example.

1. Adding a graphic requires the use of proper HTML commands.

2. Click on the "upload images" button in the Navigation box at the top right of the geocache page.

3. Navigate to your photo directory on your hard drive, and identify the correct picture. Give your photo a name (e.g. "View from West End Overlook") and upload it.

4. The photo now appears on the geocache page as a little camera icon with a hyperlink on its name. Look for it just below the maps and just above the logs:

View from West End Overlook

5. Now you need the URL of just that image.

Drag that photo's name up into the address area of your browser.

That should then show you just the photo on its own page with nothing else. The URL that you need can now be copied from the address area of your browser.

If, for some reason, you have trouble with dragging the name up into the browser's address area, try this: Right click on the name of the image, and follow the screen prompts to get its unique URL.

Or, under the image link, you will see an "edit" link. Clicking on "edit" will open the image on its own page. On the edit page clicking directly on the image will open the image on its own page. The URL of that page can be seen there in your browser.

Copy that URL into the clipboard.

6. Put the geocache page into edit mode.

7. Make sure that the box is checked to say that you are using HTML on the geocache page, and then insert the HTML code for the image so that the photo will display in the center of the geocache page:

<center><img src="http://img.Groundspeak.com/cache/a0f1a0a9-af25-4574-9dc8-cd46521ca68e.jpg"></center>

In your case, the characters in between the quotation marks will be different, of course.

If you are still having trouble at this point, please check out the the Knowledgebase Article called "HTML In Geocache Descriptions."
