GCEdo
Just built my first cartridge with Wherigo//kit. It's simple Tour Guide type. Not sure how to deliver final coordinates where the cache is hidden. By adding new zone that will open up when player reach last zone of Tour Guide? Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox
Ideally, the final zone within your cartridge should be where the cache is hidden. Quote Link to comment
GCEdo
Excellent. And the exact coordinates I can put in message box, just like all other explanations for previous zones, right? And I can also place coordinates for last zone to be the same as the coordinates of cache hiding place, right? I did both in my cartridge. Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox
Yes, that's right. You can either tell the players the final coordinates and/or you can have the last zone located at the final coordinates. Quote Link to comment
GCEdo
Thanks. Two more questions... 1. can I set proximity to 15 meters for zones? 2. I have 9 zones that are arranged by timeline from 1 to 9... do players had to go from through them by order that I specified (I would prefer that), or they can visit them by any order they want? Ranger Fox
You can set proximity on a zone-by-zone basis. I believe I hard-coded the proximity range to 3 meters. Click on a zone to display its details balloon (the thing that shows the picture, the zone's name, and has tabs to let you ask questions). Directly below the zone's coordinates is a section that allows you to adjust the zone's proximity. Click on it to edit the value. The timeline is just that. The zones must be visited in that order; they will not show up otherwise. You can easily rearrange your zones' order on the timeline. (I might add that, on any other builder, rearranging zone order can be an error-prone, time-consuming process. On Kit, you just drag and drop once and you're done. I'm quite happy about that.) GCEdo
Thanks. That's really useful. And rearranging zones is really easy. Great tool! Quote Link to comment
