Printing Mapsource maps

Is there a way to print out whole page of a Mapsource map? Not bigger as in larger font to fill in the page but double the amount of information. Right now it prints out a full screen shot on 1/2 a page. I want just the opposite, fill the paper but double the screen shot. I make a hard copy of the area I ride in and it is a pain the butt to cut and tape all those pages together.

First, try switching from portrait to landscape (File / Printer setup) when you print. It could also be a setting you have in your printer settings. Mine prints about 4/5ths of the page without any issue.

By changing to landscape all that happens is that it enlargers the image vs increasing the area printed.

csacsa, I have a suggestion to avoid print-outs.

With, I think, MapSource v. 6.10, you can draw tracks in MapSource and download them to the GPS. Use MapSource to create a "route" of the caches you want to hit, then follow that "route". When you download the track, it is turned off by default, at least it is in my Vista HCx. So, you need to go to that tack and select "Show On Map".

If you are going to the desert or mountains where MapSource does not show roads/trails, I use the Path feature of Google-Earth to create tracks, then use a Babel-supported program (I love GPS Visualizer) to convert G-E's kml file to a MapSource gdb file and upload the tracks into the GPS.

This also works great when travelling abroad. I recently had a business trip to Lima, Peru. Not having or wanting to pay for street maps for a 2-day business trip, I create a track from the airport to my hotel and the two geocaches I wanted to visit. Not knowing the names of the streets, I was able to direct the cab driver to ground zero.
