I dropped a geocoin at the wrong location and need to make a retreiver.

 

I can I get that geocoin back.

Not a biggie. Others have done it before. Others will do it in the future!

 

Do you still have the tracking number? (The one on the geocoin, not it's public reference number)

If so, just log a Retrieve from where it is.

 

If not.

Ask the coin owner.(They may tell it to you)

 

And/or. Post a Note log on the coins page, the cache the coin IS in, and the cache where it SHOULD be, and explain the situation.

 

DONT try to solve it by deleting logs. It doesn't work!

 

TIP. Keep a note of tracking numbers. Photograph the coins/TB with numbers showing BUT DONT show the numbers if you post the photos online.

The other side of the discussion is don't worry about it. The next guy who picks it up may dip it in the proper one for mileage or may not. While some go to great lengths to prevent or correct a trivial error. It really isn't worth getting your knickers in a bunch over.
