+TheSharpsUK
I know this has been done to death, but I find the choice totally overwhelming! I currently have a Etrex 10. I like that the signal is very reliable. I would like a GPS device that shows an actual map on screen so I can orient myself to see which caches are nearby easier. I'd also like to be able to send GPX files to it, ideally over a wifi connection as cabling the Etrex up to my PC is a pain. I am based in the UK if that makes any difference. Thanks so much! +TheSharpsUK
Most Garmin devices need to be cabled into your PC, and since you like the Etrex 10 so much I'd swap it for an Etrex 20, I have used one for over 2 years and am very happy with it (also in the UK). Thanks for the info. What would you say are the man improvements? Can you get uk road mapping sop you can use just the Garmin to find your way to a cache (i.e., see a rough location, decide on which side of a road it may be on)? At present I use my phone to view a route to nearby location, then the Garmin to zero in. Would UK maps come with it, or is it a separate purchase? Quote Link to comment
